Fabric is the premium face of modern branding — and dye sublimation is how it gets its color.

At Positive Marketing USA in Dallas, we sublimate full-color, photographic graphics directly into polyester fabrics and coated substrates, producing prints that are vibrant, lightweight, wrinkle-resistant, and even washable. It is the same process we used for the Dallas Wings VIP section and countless SEG displays for brands like Charles Schwab. Because the ink becomes part of the fabric rather than sitting on top of it, colors stay brilliant without cracking, peeling, or fading.

The process

What Is Dye Sublimation?

Dye sublimation is a digital printing technology that uses heat and pressure to turn solid dye into a gas that bonds permanently with polyester fibers and polymer-coated surfaces — no liquid phase, no topical ink layer. The dyes infuse at the molecular level, so the result is unmatched color depth, a soft hand feel, and zero texture difference between printed and unprinted areas.

We print up to 10 feet wide on polyester and soft-knit fabrics, and up to 40″ x 60″ on hard substrates like aluminum, MDF, and fiberboard — all in-house in Dallas. It is the gold standard for tension fabric displays, silicone edge graphics (SEG), flags, and soft signage.

Why fabric

Why Choose Fabric Over Vinyl?

Fabric graphics photograph better with no glare, fold small for shipping and travel, swap in and out of frames in seconds, and can be washed and reused season after season. For trade show exhibitors and retail environments that refresh graphics often, dye-sublimated fabric delivers a lower lifetime cost than vinyl — and a noticeably more premium look. We print, sew, silicone-edge, and finish everything in-house in Dallas, so quality is controlled end to end and rush deadlines stay realistic.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between dye sublimation and regular printing?

Regular printing lays ink on top of a surface; dye sublimation infuses dye into the fabric itself using heat and pressure. The result is richer color that will not crack, peel, or wash out because it is part of the material at a molecular level.

Are sublimated fabric prints washable?

Yes. Because the dye is embedded in the polyester fibers, most of our fabric prints can be gently machine washed and reused, which makes them ideal for recurring events.

What are SEG graphics?

Silicone Edge Graphics are fabric prints finished with a thin silicone strip sewn around the edge, which tucks into a groove in an aluminum frame for a perfectly taut, frameless look — a favorite for trade shows, retail, and lightboxes.

How wide can you print fabric?

We print up to 10 feet wide on polyester and soft-knit fabrics, and up to 40 by 60 inches on hard substrates like aluminum and MDF — all in-house in Dallas.

Can you print fabric graphics fast for an event in Dallas?

Yes. Printing, sewing, and finishing all happen in our Dallas facility, so we routinely hit tight event deadlines. Tell us your install date and we will work backward from it.
